¨        The approach to adult counselling is integrative.

¨        A person-centred beginning will lead to                other approaches as appropriate in the                        circumstances.
¨        The aim will be to work alongside the client         in order to proceed at his/her own pace towards                the goals we identify together.
¨        This may involve work on attachments and
       relationships, bereavement issues, other losses
such as jobs and divorce, the effects of physical
trauma or ill-health on the person, and many other
issues which are to do with feelings, values,
       beliefs, understanding and behaviour.
¨        Methods used may involve creative use of  pictures, writing drama etc.
¨        With children and young people, (and sometimes
with adults who have problems relating in an adult
way because of trauma in their childhood years)
we are able to use a specially designed playroom
to incorporate painting and sand play as well as
       many other creative methods.
